Join us at CBC2026: Enduring Challenges: Disruptive Technologies Driving Transformational Change within the Built Environment, a hybrid conference taking place on 5–6 November 2026, hosted from London and open to an international audience.
Artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital twins, smart contracts, robotics and other emerging technologies are reshaping how buildings and infrastructure are planned, delivered, operated and maintained. Yet persistent challenges remain, including low productivity, fragmented supply chains, poor interoperability, ageing infrastructure, decarbonisation, cybersecurity, workforce shortages and trusted digital governance.
CBC2026 will examine where disruptive technologies are delivering measurable value, where barriers remain and how industry, academia and government can work together to accelerate responsible transformation.
The programme will feature keynote presentations, industry case studies, expert panels and interactive discussions, bringing together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, clients and technology providers from around the world.

Submissions
Researchers, practitioners, policymakers and technology providers are invited to submit original research, industry case studies, technical developments, implementation experience and critical perspectives for presentation at CBC2026. Contributions should address disruptive technologies and transformational change within the built environment, demonstrating clear evidence, practical relevance and meaningful insight. The conference provides an international forum to share knowledge, test ideas, receive feedback, build collaborations and contribute to discussions shaping the future of construction, infrastructure and asset management.

The Construction Blockchain Consortium (CBC) fosters knowledge transfer, facilitates academic and commercial presentations, conducts research, and drives policy and regulatory discussions. Led by the UCL Department of Computer Science and The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, CBC explores the implications of Blockchain and other emerging technologies in the Built Environment. We actively encourage the development of open-source tools and proprietary solutions to promote sustainable construction practices.
