SESSION 6 | IOT, Supply Chains & Operations

SESSION 6
IOT, Supply Chains & Operations

Presentations by:

Stephen Hamil (The NBS)

An audit trail of specification data

During the design, construction and then in-use phases of a construction project product specifications decisions are made. Too often there is no digital record of these decisions and this results in clients not knowing what products are in their buildings. Stephen explores how this process can be improved. He also examines the role that Blockchain can play in this process in the not too distant future.

Brittanie Campbell-Turner (Constructr Podcast, CBC USA)

Microgrids, IoT and Blockchain

This discussion will cover how microgrids are supported by IoT and blockchain to support energy management. We will also review location driven IoT solutions that have the potential to support building operations.

Marta Piekarska-Geater (Hyperledger/Linux Foundation)

Building Trustworthy Supply Chains

Hyperledger DLTs are the go-to technologies for enterprises and governments. Many say that Supply Chain is one of the more important use cases for using DLTs. Over the past 18 months we have seen several successful deployments of such solutions. Marta will walk you through the case studies from Hyperledger and its Members in Supply Chain.

The session will conclude with a panel discussion.

Please note the agenda is subject to revision.
