White Paper Development

The upcoming CBC 2023 conference invites researchers to submit their research papers on the application of blockchain technology in the built environment via EasyChair. Travel and accommodation information will be provided to registered attendees. The conference will be held in Hong Kong, a vibrant city in Asia. For those who cannot attend in person, virtual access will be available through this conference page.

The conference agenda and optional program will feature industry experts, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to engage in discussions on the latest developments in IoT and Blockchain. Furthermore, the CBC 2023 white paper will be discussed. This targets policymakers and business strategists, highlighting the challenges, disruptions, and contradictions associated with IoT in the construction industry. The paper examines the potential role of blockchain and DLT in promoting IoT and digital transformation in construction and the built environment, as well as cybersecurity concerns. Technological details are included in appendices and footnotes, with high-quality references to support readers' knowledge.


About the CBC

The Construction Blockchain Consortium (CBC) fosters knowledge transfer, facilitates academic and commercial presentations, conducts research, and drives policy and regulatory discussions. Led by the UCL Department of Computer Science and The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, CBC explores the implications of Blockchain and other emerging technologies in the Built Environment. We actively encourage the development of open-source tools and proprietary solutions to promote sustainable construction practices.
