Hyperledger Ecosystem: why buildings and blockchains matter

Dr. Marta Piekarska

Marta serves as the Director of Ecosystem at Hyperledger. Marta obtained her BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology and a double Master from Computer Science and Informatics at Technical University of Berlin and Warsaw University of Technology. Marta received PhD in User-Informed Design of Privacy Tools while working at one of the hottest startups in Silicon Valley - Blockstream. Marta also taught at Technical University of Berlin as a Post-doc. As part of her role in Hyperledger Marta evangelizes the technology and Open Source at conferences around the world and helps enterprises with applying permissioned Blockchains to their use-cases. Marta is passionate about how Blockchain can help in non traditional spaces, such as identity, last mile aid and education delivery and sustainability.

The Accord Project: Standards and the Future of Smart Legal Contracts

Tom Hansen

Thomas is UK Lead at The Accord Project and a future trainee at White & Case LLP. His work with the Accord Project has centred around building a consortium of law firms, corporates, technologists and industry associations to create open-source legal and technical standards for smart legal contracts. The Accord Project currently works with over 50 law firms world-wide and consults widely with strategic partners to develop and standardise the ever-growing ecosystem of smart and connected contracting.

Prior to earning his law degree at Cambridge, he studied economics and finance at University of Sydney.

ArkiToken & the AEC Industry

Huw Thomas

Huw has worked on numerous transport projects, including proposals for the airport station in Hong Kong, Central Station re-development in Kuala Lumpur, St Pancras station for CTRL, Luton Airport’s masterplan and terminal facilities, QAIA in Jordan and most recently the four new stations on the Haramain line in Saudi Arabia and the expansion of Doha International Airport.

He is am currently working as an Independent Consultant on various projects world wide and a series of innovative infrastructure and technology led developments which seek to change the way we approach strategic issues by adopting a more holistic approach.

Navin Ramachandran

Dr. Ramachandran is a medical doctor and data researcher. He is a member of the IOTA foundation ( http://iota.org/ ), looking at the use of novel scalable distributed ledger technology in data provenance and security, as well as traditional transactional scenarios.

The psychology of groups - why every new team is open to new ways of working

Tony Llewellyn

Tony Llewellyn is a collaboration director at Resolex. He is a specialist in interpersonal dynamics and the effectiveness of project teams.  Originally training as a surveyor, he has spent over thirty years working on major construction projects. Tony has published two books on the topic of team coaching and is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster where he runs a masters module on Developing Effective Project Teams.
